The History of Dixie Ford

Dixie Ford was started in 1984 by Ainslie Hogan. It is a family owned and operated business serving the Mississauga and GTA area.

The History of the Hogan's and the orgin's of Dixie Ford go back to 1909 when Jack Hogan (Ainslie's Father) was born. Jack began his career in cars sales in 1927 in Montreal. By 1945 he was a partner with Ernest 'Chick' Simpson at a new Toronto Ford delaership called Simpson Motors. By 1960 Jack had bought out 'Chick' and his Jack's two sons entered the business. business from his father and in 1971 opened one of the first Toyota dealerships in Toronto called Lakeshore Toyota. From there he moved on in 1976 to open a G.M. dealership in Hamilton Ont. Finally after selling the G.M. store in Hamilton Ainslie settled at 5495 Dixie Rd in Mississauga.

Today Ainslie's sons run the dealership where it has sold and serviced countless customer since 1984.

Dixie Ford and the Hogan family are proud of their long history and numerous relationships with the people and the community.
