In 1982, a partnership was established between International Truck and Engine Corporation and Ford Motor Company to build a diesel engine for Ford’s Super Duty ® pickup trucks.

A: The Power Stroke ® Diesel 6.0L is built at two different plants: International’s Indianapolis Engine Plant and Huntsville (Alabama) Engine Plant. Over 2,500,000 engines have been built to date at the Indianapolis Engine Plant; the Huntsville Engine Plant is capable of producing 250,000 engines per year.
